This is a great wave maker and water circulator! Length:: 2:04 Mins This is a great wave maker!! I purchased the 2 units for my 55 gal freshwater tank after reading multiple reviews saying that 2 units is the way to go. However, I think one unit will work just fine for water circulation (as seen in the video I posted). One unit circulates top, mid, and lower areas very well. I’m actually impressed with the circulation using only 1 unit.I currently do not have fish in my tank (in the process of adding live plants and giving them time to establish roots) so I am a little worried smaller fish will be sucked into the unit’s fan/blades because of the unit’s power. I plan on putting a timer on the unit, just so the fish can have some ‘non-wave’ time! 🙂 I’m also happy that the unit is not very loud (as noted on the video). The unit is a little larger than expected, but if it helps keep my tank clean, then I’m okay with it’s size and seeing it! I’m not disappointed about purchasing…

Great deal! Awesome product! Works great in my 60 gallon Malawi peacock cichlid tank. Moves plenty of water great product and great price. This thing works just as good as the big name brands but way cheaper and in my opinion looks better then the rest I’ve seen.Update: a couple months of use and this thing is still performing the same as it did when it was fresh out of the box. Buying another one soon for my second tank.Update: got another one works just as good as the first one great product couldn’t ask for more.

Consider a consumable item I have bought quite a few of these power heads for my 45 gal reef tank over the last few years. Some have worked for many months and one just died after 3 weeks. So quality control is an issue. One is a bit noise, so I use it to mix up my salt water before a water change. These are quite affordable, so I look at them as a disposable item. I have paid up to hundreds of dollars for fancy wave makers and power heads, but they typically do not last 10x longer than these cheapies. So for me, it is better to buy something that may or may not last a long time, because at around $6/ head, it is hard to beat the value.
